ApexRare Alpinist Homage

Well finished piece that looks great on the wrist, if a tad too small for mine! An excellent homage to the original.

Very pleased with this Alpinist homage piece and the great service from WR Watches. The black dial is great and the case is well finished, I had to knock a star off as the lume on this model is not great and fades very quickly. I also replaced the supplied strap as I felt it didn’t really do the Watch justice. Overall, very pleased with my purchase.

I have been looking for a tic-tac alternative for a long time and had my eye on this apexrare for about a year, but was afraid because it is a dial only watch with a 40mm diameter, I finally pulled the trigger and really don't regret it.
It is a great watch, perfect quality and finishing as well as a strap monster.
With its screw down crown and saphir crystal, it is much better than the seiko for 1/3 of the price.
Its size is perfect even for my small 6.5'' wrist. It wears perfectly and tge dial looks well proportioned... Really really impressed and happy to have finally bought it.
The only letdown to me is the lume which is not as strong as I was expecting, would be legible for 90min max.

It is not really an Alpinist as the rotating bezel is missing.
The finishing is very nice and the NH35 works well as usual. With the dimensions given at 41 mm with the crown I though the watch was a little bit smaller than its real size. A good day to day classic watch.
